Dr. Mia L. Miller Dr. Miller is native to the Bay Area, she grew up in both Point Richmond and Marin. She did her undergraduate studies at the University of California at Berkeley and recieved a Bachelor's degree in Physiology. She then continued her studies at the University of California Berkeley, School of Optometry and recieved both a Master's degree in Optometry and a Doctorate degree in Optometry. When not working she enjoys spending time with her family, which includes her husband, two kids, two dogs and 2 cats. Her interests include riding bikes, both mountain and road, spinning, skiing and long hikes with her dogs. |
Dr. Margaret M. Stolarczuk Dr. Stolarczuk was born and raised in Chicago. She received her Bachelors degree in Chemistry at the University of Illinois, Urbana Champaign. She received her Doctorate in Optometry at the Illinois College of Optometry. She then completed a residency sponsored by the University of California Berkeley School of Optometry at the San Francisco VA Medical Center. She has worked for West Coast Retina performing ultrasound on patients with ocular melanoma and was involved in a number of national studies researching various treatments for age-related and myopic macular degeneration and diabetic eye disease. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, hiking, biking, swimming, yoga, movies and reading. |
Dr. Keri M. Owyang Dr. Owyang was born and raised in the Bay Area as the daughter of an optometrist. She attended the University of California San Diego for her undergraduate studies and received her Bachelor's degree in General Biology. She then returned to the Bay Area and followed in her father's footsteps as she earned her Doctorate of Optometry from University of California Berkeley School of Optometry. Her interests include specialty contact lens fittings and diseases of the eye. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling the world, swimming, cooking, snowboarding, and hiking. She currently splits her time working part-time here at El Cerrito Optometry and part-time with her father. |
Dr. Adrienne A. White Dr. White is a Bay Area native, born in San Francisco and raised in San Ramon. She earned a bachelors degree in Integrative Biology from the University of California, Berkeley and received a Masters and Doctorate in Optometry from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Optometry. Dr. White furthered her training by completing a residency in Ocular Disease at the Brooklyn/St. Albans VA Hospitals. After practicing in New York state, Dr. White returned home to California where she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, watching Cal Bears football, traveling and reading. |

Our Office Dr Harold Zlot, O.D. opened our office located in El Cerrito Plaza in 1961. Dr Mia L. Miller, O.D. joined the practice in 1984, when the practice moved next door into our current office. Dr Margaret M. Stolarczuk, O.D. began working with us in 1988. Dr Zlot retired in 1989, leaving his practice for Drs Miller and Stolarczuk to take over. More recently two exceptional Optometrists, Dr Keri Owyang, O.D. and Dr Adrienne White, O.D began working with us. Most all our amazing staff has been with us for many years.
